Event Details

The Northern California Society of American Foresters invites you to participate in the 20th year of the Forestry Institute for Teachers (FIT).

There are 4 1-week sessions scheduled at 4 different locations.

PLEASE NOTE: Each session can accommodate 30 participants.  50 tickets are allocated to each session because experience has shown that 15-20 applicants withdraw prior to the session, so it is necessary to overbook.   Tickets 31-50 for each session may be assigned to a wait list.  When there are more than 30 applicants the application criteria, which may be seen at http://forestryinstitute.org/application.html, are applied to determine who is accepted.  If < 21 tickets remain for a given session you may want to consider applying to another.

If you have questions please call the FIT Helpline at 1-888-348-7765.

NOTE:  FIT is free to 1st time participants, though they must cover travel costs to the session locationPast FIT participants may repeat if they will pay the participation cost of $1,000.
